Teeth Whitening Bleaching
A whiter smile is an appearance booster many people crave. White, smooth clean teeth make the best first impression possible and tell the world you take pride in yourself. Using a teeth whitening bleaching is one method of getting and keeping a pearly white smile.
There are several ways to use teeth whitening bleaching including different kinds of at-home-tray whitening systems, home kits, and dentist office treatments. At home treatments can work well if care is taken to follow all directions.
Dentists can often achieve faster results with teeth whitening bleaching than at home treatments with less risk of side effects, but are a bit more expensive than at-home-treatments.
At home:
Tray whitening systems can be purchased over the counter. Care should be taken to observe whether a high concentration or low concentration of bleaching chemicals is being used. Low concentrations of chemicals will usually have to be used for longer periods of time, but are safer to use since there’s less risk of burning the soft tissue of the mouth or discoloring the gums. Higher concentrations will work faster, but care should be taken to only leave the tray in for exactly as long as recommended.
Form fitting trays can be made at a dentist office or created by a dental lab which can then be used at home. A boil-and-bite tray is molded when you bite down on the plastic after melting it slightly in hot water. This works like a cast of your teeth which you can then use as a tray for the teeth whitening bleaching gel.
All of the trays rather at home or at the dentist used a teeth whitening bleaching gel. This gel contains an oxidizing bleaching agent that can lighten not only the outside of the tooth, but can also work on stains just under the enamel. After using a teeth whitening bleaching process it’s important to remember to take care of the teeth.
Daily brushing with whitening toothpaste and flossing keeps the teeth looking polished and white. Care should also be taken to avoid foods and drinks that discolor the teeth like coffee or certain teas. Tobacco of course should also be avoided in any form.
